General Catalyst is hosting a virtual learning series on racial justice.
This event in the series will take place at 3:00 PM ET on June 23 and will focus on “Racial Healing and How to be an Ally,” with Anneliese A. Singh (bio below). Registration is free.
Anneliese A. Singh, PhD, LPC, is the associate dean for diversity, equity and inclusion, and an associate professor at the University of Georgia’s department of counseling and human development.
Additionally, Singh serves as the coordinator of the counselor education doctoral program at the University of Georgia and is co-founder of the Georgia Safe Schools Coalition and Trans Resilience Project, an initiative that works to combat heterosexism, racism, sexism and other intersection oppressions in Georgia public schools.
Her research interests center on Asian-American/Pacific Islander counseling, LGBTQQ+ counseling and education, transgender mental health, social justice and multicultural training. Singh’s research, practice and advocacy centers on the resilience of transgender people, transgender people of color, transgender youth, survivors of trauma, immigrants, South Asian survivors of child sexual abuse, and social justice and empowerment training.
