ABOUT THE PROGRAM:
VC University is the industry-leading certificate course on the fundamentals of venture capital.
Produced by Venture Forward, Berkeley Law Executive Education, and NVCA, this program caters to professionals who are new to the venture ecosystem, and current practitioners seeking to reinforce their VC knowledge and skill set.
To date, the program has:
Starting on September 5, 2023, Cohort 14 will welcome approximately 300 participants, including 40 full scholarship recipients.
Today, we’re proud to recognize the 40 aspiring VCs from underrepresented backgrounds who have been awarded full scholarships to Cohort 14 of VC University.
The scholarship program consists of two tracks: a sector-agnostic General Track and a Life Science Scholarship (LSS) track for those pursuing careers as life science investors.
All scholarship recipients receive full course tuition, access to dedicated office hours, and the opportunity to participate in a curated three-month mentorship program.

About the Cohort 14 scholarship recipients:
The 40 scholarship recipients of Cohort 14 were competitively selected from hundreds of candidates through an application process that considers career goals, demographic factors, commitment to furthering an inclusive industry, and more.
Cohort 14 is incredibly diverse across geography, gender, ethnicity, and age:
83% identify as people of color
68% live outside CA, MA, and NY (the three states with the majority of venture capital activity)
