Christy Remey Chin is focused on impact investing and venture philanthropy. She currently serves on several boards, including Benetech, Food Forward, New Story, Save The Waves, SV2, World Affairs, and Vote.org, while also serving as an advisor to Accountability Counsel, CALMatters, and Colgate University’s President Council.
She is a Venture Partner and previously served as a Managing Partner at the Draper Richards Kaplan Foundation where she was instrumental in growing the Foundation’s pipeline, portfolio support, and stewardship of the Foundation’s donor partners. Before DRK, she worked at the Skoll Foundation, where she was an integral part of the ideation of the Skoll Awards for Social Entrepreneurship and at the William and Flora Hewlett Foundation’s Philanthropy Workshop.
Christy also has for-profit experience in venture capital with Bedrock Capital Partners and Norwest Venture Capital. Christy began her career as a research associate at the Harvard Business School writing cases about venture capital, entrepreneurial management and social entrepreneurship with Professors J. Gregory Dees and Jeffry A. Timmons. Christy earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in history from Colgate University and a Master’s degree in business administration from the Harvard Business School.
